This 1987 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ70 is a short-wheelbase example that was imported to the United States from Venezuela in 2021 and acquired by me in 2022. In February 2024, it was professionally retrofitted with a 2.8-liter Cummins R2.8 turbodiesel inline-four by Goode’s Off Road in Rowlett, Texas. The truck is finished in silver over brown vinyl and patterned tan cloth and is equipped with the factory H55F five-speed manual transmission, dual-range transfer case, split rear doors, lifted suspension, white-finished 15” wheels, air conditioning, and a Toyota CD stereo.

The Cummins R2.8 installation has transformed the driving experience, delivering strong, smooth diesel power with excellent highway capability while retaining the mechanical character that makes the 70-series so special.
Under my ownership, significant mechanical work has been completed to ensure reliability and peace of mind:
February 2024: Transmission, differentials, and transfer case serviced
July 2024: Clutch replaced
August 2024: EGR valve replaced
October 2024: ECM and wiring harness replaced
March 2025: A/C compressor replaced
August 2025: Upgraded radiator fan installed and oil change performed
October 2025: Battery replaced
